Build Your Profile
Submit your manuscript, upload a short script for auditions, and let us know your preferences for narration style, tone, and budget. With this information, we’ll find narrators who align with your vision.

Already have finished audio? Upload your completed files, and our Quality Assurance team will review them for publishing.

Step 2: Collaborate with Your Narrator

Choose the Perfect Voice
Receive custom auditions from professional narrators tailored to your project. Review samples and select the voice that captures the essence of your story.

Decide on Payment Terms
You can choose the model that works best for you—pay by the finished hour, or opt for a royalty share.

Work Together to Perfect Your Audiobook
Collaborate with your narrator as they bring your manuscript to life. From character notes to performance feedback, you’ll have input throughout the process. Once the audiobook is complete, it goes through our Quality Assurance review to ensure it meets industry standards.

Step 3: Publish

Distribute to a Global Audience
Once approved, your audiobook will be distributed across major platforms like Audible, Spotify, Google Play, and iTunes, and more, detailed below.

Payments for royalties are made through PayPal. Monitor your audiobook’s performance by a link sent to you upon publication.

Stand Out with Your Auditions
Once you’ve set up your profile, you’ll have access to our "Job Board" where you can access auditions from all audiobook genres. Submit your best takes to authors directly onto our platform.

Step 2: Collaborate on a Project

Agree on Payment Terms
Work with Academy Voices and authors to decide on payment terms that suit your needs—choose between a per-finished-hour rate or royalty share.

Bring the Story to Life
Using character notes and project guidelines from the author, record, edit, and deliver high-quality audio files. Along the way, you’ll receive feedback to ensure the production aligns with producer's vision.

Step 3: Finalize and Get Paid

Submit Retail-Ready Audio
Once the audiobook is complete, submit your files for Quality Assurance (QA). Any necessary adjustments will be communicated to ensure the final product meets industry standards.

Earn with Transparency
Receive payments either through PFH agreed upon rate or quarterly. With Academy Voices, you’ll always know where your earnings stand.

1. Per Finished Hour (PFH) Pricing Model

Our PFH model provides you with control over your budget and project scale. Pay a set rate for each finished hour of audio, ensuring transparency and professional standards.

Details:

• Narrator Fee: You pay a PFH (Per Finished Hour) rate to Academy Voices (Rates vary based on narrator experience) which we pay to the narrator upon completion and approval by the author. 
  • For Example: 27,900 words = $300 at $100 PFH. You can choose a higher rate when you fill out the audition form when you join (Based on 9,300 words per finished hour).
• Production Fee: Academy Voices charges a production fee ($350) for managing, producing, and distributing your audiobook. This is a set fee and is due upon approval of first 15-minutes.
• Do not have to publish through Academy Voices

2. Royalty Share Model

Minimize upfront costs by sharing the future success of your audiobook. This model aligns everyone’s interests toward producing a high-quality audiobook that sells.

Revenue Split:

• Author Share - 40% 
• Narrator Share - 40%
• Academy Voices Share - 20%

Additional Notes:

• Upfront Costs: There is a production fee ($350) that is paid to Academy Voices after the first 15-minutes is approved.
• Shared Success: Earnings are based on audiobook sales across all platforms.
• Must publish through Academy Voices
